Example text - testing the painting tool via PCA. [39KB]
Another (slightly more artistic) image created using the PCA painting tool and some text - with shadows added. Note fading shadow on 'Compo' and all around shadow on the 'HOT'. [41KB]
An early take on the splash banner for project NCPaint. Compos background tiling and shadows put to good use. [50KB]
Early logo for the demo version. [22KB]
Splash banner for project PCAPaint. [26KB]
Tiled background from the previous image with a simple piece of text overlayed. The text was created, its opacity reduced and a soft shadow added in about ten mouse clicks. [34KB]
Large (but crude) logo created using the painting tool. Doodle mode. :-) [42KB]
Another take on use of shadowed text and the painting tool. 'Do cool stuff' was created entirely with the standard feature set however. [90KB]
ARM logo. A simple black-and-white GIF is transformed by adding a shadow and tint mask. The ARM logo is a trademark of ARM Ltd. If they don't like me using it presumably they'll tell me! ;-) [20KB]
Splash box for an old homegrown PD internet setup. [31KB]
Something the astronauts didn't see when visiting the moon! [108KB]
Quick take on a NASA logo. Only the inbuilt facilities were used (coloured stripes in the logo were created by overlaying a 'colour block' and fiddling with its maths settings. Once again, NASA will presumably let me know if they object to my taking their name in vain! [127KB]
TopModel support. 3D objects freely rotatable. Support for TM has improved since the last release version. [68KB]
Interesting use of multiple copies, shadows, low opacity and math type settings to produce an unusual 3D textured text effect. [183KB]
TaylorMade logo. TaylorMade is a TV and video production house based in Dunedin, NZ. My association with them goes back a long way. Titler, a video titling package was written at their request and is still used by them today. [35KB]
I call this one 'WallopFall' Horribly cluttered. [87KB]
Crude image warping code in a development version - since removed. :-) [38KB]
The infamous 'Frog on Rock' used to demo Compo since day one. Dave Clare incorporated this into the front of the packaging. Improved version with better shadows. [134KB]
An attempt at a disc label that didn't make it. Interesting text effect though...wonder how I did it now. ;-) [62KB]
Simple text effects (one of the images supplied with the package) [116KB]
